Designing an iPad App for Personality Assessment
The Situation
KPMG takes care to ensure that new recruits will feel comfortable in its business environment and possess the values and competencies required to work comfortably in roles, teams and the organisation as a whole.
KPMG Belgium asked Cubiks to develop a personality assessment that would help attract graduates that possess the values and competencies required to work comfortably in the firm’s roles and business environment.
 
The Challenge
KPMG decided to use the personality assessment as a self-selection measure, rather than to provide candidate information. The assessment had to reflect the forward-thinking, innovative approach of the firm and attract the well suited, high calibre graduates for its roles. The solution created by Cubiks would have to measure candidates against the personality dimensions identified by KPMG as most crucial for its graduate positions.
The Solution
Cubiks collaborated with HR software developer ePower to design a user-friendly iPad application. This solution enables graduates to take the personality assessment on the spot using a KPMG iPad at careers events that the firm attends or facilitates. Using the feedback from the application, graduates can gain an understanding of how their personality relates to the dimensions most valued by KPMG and use this insight to decide whether they feel they should proceed to making an application for a role at the firm.
 
The Result
The personality assessment iPad application is providing vital information to help support the decisions made by potential applicants to KPMG Belgium. By providing individuals with insights into how their personality matches with the working environment at KPMG, the assessment is proving to be a fast and efficient self-selection measure.
